The 25 to 30 mm tray adapter is a laser-cut MDF grid that takes to Warhammer: The Old World the units that stood on 25×25 mm bases in Warhammer Fantasy Battles and now call for 30×30 mm.

How it works

The grid has 30×30 mm spaces, and each one holds a 25×25 mm base. It goes on top of a movement tray for 30×30 mm bases in the same formation, and the unit covers the footprint set by The Old World rules. Laser-engraved marks show where each space ends. It can stay loose or be glued to the tray with superglue.

On the magnetic tray

The magnetic movement tray for 30×30 mm bases is made in 79 of the 80 formations. With the open grid, the bases touch the steel sheet, and the tray's hidden magnets keep it in place on the metal shelves of a carry case.

Available formations

There are 80 formations, from 3 to 10 columns and 1 to 10 ranks, for between 3 and 100 miniatures; grids range from 90×30 to 300×300 mm. Some of them:

  • Three wide and two deep: 6 miniatures (90×60 mm).
  • Five wide and three deep: 15 miniatures (150×90 mm).
  • Six wide and four deep: 24 miniatures (180×120 mm).
  • Eight wide and five deep: 40 miniatures (240×150 mm).

Units

Units that went from 25 mm in Warhammer Fantasy to 30 mm in The Old World include Lizardmen Saurus Warriors, the Beastmen Bestigor Herd, Daemons of Chaos Bloodletters of Khorne and the Black Orc Mob.
