25 to 30 mm adapted movement tray for Warhammer: The Old World: troops on 25 mm square bases, like those of Warhammer Fantasy, set out with the spacing of the 30 mm base used in The Old World, without changing bases.
What it is
An MDF grid, also laser-cut, is glued onto an MDF plate, with 30×30 mm cells. Each cell leaves a recess for a 25 mm base, and the engraved marks on its edge show the limit of the 30 mm base. With no outer border, the plate is 30 mm per model in each direction.
What it is for
Part of the infantry, such as that of the Chaos armies, orcs or lizardmen, moves in The Old World from 25 mm to 30 mm bases. With this tray, the unit keeps the frontage and depth of the 30 mm base on the table, and the models stay on their 25 mm bases.
Formations
There are 48 formations, from 3 to 60 models, three to ten wide and one to six ranks deep. The plate ranges from 90×30 mm, three in a single rank, to 300×180 mm, ten by six; the four-wide, three-deep one, for 12 models, measures 120×90 mm.
Units
On 25 mm bases in Warhammer Fantasy and 30 mm bases in The Old World, among others: Chaos Warriors; the Orc & Goblin Orc Mob; Lizardmen Temple Guard.
Common questions
Do the models change bases?
No: they go into the recess on their 25 mm bases.
Can an existing 30 mm tray be used?
That is what the 25 to 30 mm tray adapter is for: the loose grid, placed on a 30×30 mm tray of the same formation, magnetic or MDF.
