25x50 to 30x60 mm adapted movement tray for Warhammer: The Old World cavalry. Riders on Warhammer Fantasy 25×50 mm bases take up the space of the 30×60 mm base, with no rebasing.
What it is
A laser-cut MDF grid glued onto an MDF plate. Each cell is 30×60 mm, the cavalry base in The Old World, with the recess for a 25×50 mm base inside. Engraved marks on the edge of the cell show how far the 30×60 mm base reaches. The plate has no outer border and measures 30 mm per rider in width and 60 mm per rank.
What it is for
In The Old World, much of the cavalry that used 25×50 mm bases moves to 30×60 mm: each rider gains 5 mm of frontage and 10 of depth. The tray gives the unit its The Old World footprint while the models stay on their bases.
Formations
There are 14 formations, from 4 to 21 models: four to seven wide and one to three ranks, plus two lances, the 6 (ranks of 1, 2 and 3) and the 10 (1, 2, 3 and 4). The four-in-a-rank plate measures 120×60 mm, and the seven-by-three one, 210×180 mm.
Units
Bretonnian Mounted Knights of the Realm and Grail Knights, which can form a lance in The Old World; High Elf Silver Helms; Vampire Counts Black Knights. All of them used 25×50 mm bases in Warhammer Fantasy and use 30×60 mm in The Old World.
Common questions
What does the 10-model lance look like?
Four ranks in a point: one rider in front and, behind, ranks of two, three and four. The plate follows that stepped shape.
Is there a version for a 30×60 mm tray?
Yes, the 25x50 to 30x60 mm cavalry tray adapter: the grid on its own, which goes on top of a 30×60 mm tray in the same formation, magnetic or MDF. The 6 and 10 lances go on the lance formation movement tray for 30x60 mm bases.
