The 25×50 to 30×60 mm cavalry tray adapter is a laser-cut MDF grid for fielding Warhammer Fantasy Battles cavalry in Warhammer: The Old World without rebasing it.
How it works
Each space is 30×60 mm, the cavalry base size in The Old World, with a recess inside for a 25×50 mm base. The grid sits on top of a movement tray for 30×60 mm bases in the same formation. Laser-engraved marks show the edge of each space. It is used loose or glued with superglue.
On the magnetic tray
The 12 column-and-rank formations exist as a magnetic movement tray for 30×60 mm cavalry bases. Through the open recesses, the bases rest on the tray's steel sheet, and its hidden magnets hold it to the metal shelves of a carry case. The two lances sit on the lance formation movement tray for 30x60 mm bases.
Available formations
12 formations from 4 to 7 columns and 1 to 3 ranks, for between 4 and 21 models, with grids from 120×60 to 210×180 mm, plus 2 lances:
- Four wide in a single rank: 4 miniatures (120×60 mm).
- Five wide and two deep: 10 miniatures (150×120 mm).
- Lance of 6: ranks of 1, 2 and 3 miniatures.
- Lance of 10: ranks of 1, 2, 3 and 4 miniatures.
Units
Units that go from 25×50 mm in Warhammer Fantasy to 30×60 mm in The Old World include Empire Knights, Dark Elf Cold One Knights and Warriors of Chaos Marauder Horsemen. The two lances are for Bretonnian cavalry that fights in lance formation, such as the Knights Errant.
