The MDF tray
The base is laser-cut MDF. A border 3 mm high and 5 mm wide comes already glued onto it and takes sand, texture or paint, like the bases. On the outside, the tray measures 5 mm more on each side, that is, 10 mm longer and wider than the recess.
Magnetic version
For magnetised bases, the magnetic movement tray for 30×30 mm bases has a 0.6 mm galvanised steel sheet and hidden magnets for the metal shelves of a carry case, in nearly all of these formations.
